CSU – CAHS Student Top 9 in the September 2015 Medical Technology Board Examination

Frequently, the people who heard this name for the first time find his name very unique. The peculiarity of his name blends well with his exceptional wit, strongly grounded by humility character and gentleness to everyone. Let’s try to know the person behind this enigmatic moniker.
Nasudi Matammu Pastores, popularly known by his close friends and relatives as “Moshi”, was born on December 8, 1994 to Mr. Mel Pastores and Mrs. Rebecca Matammu. He is the eldest among five children. He started going to school at the age of four. At this very young age, he has shown signs of being a precocious maverick like fervently reading the twenty-volume encyclopedias at home.
He spent his elementary years at the University Of Cagayan Valley. He excelled in both academic and co-curricular activities which let him graduate as the class valedictorian of batch 2007. He opted to have his secondary education at Cagayan National High School where he was qualified to be in the gold section and was a consistent honor student.
Part of fulfilling his dream to become a successful Medical Doctor, he took up Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at the College of Allied Health Sciences, Cagayan State University, Andrews Campus. The aforementioned institution did not only further sharpen his intellectual abilities but also taught him the values of hard work and perseverance.
During his college life, he was belligerently active in academics which allowed him to be unswerving quiz bee champion in his field of specialization, be it in the local, regional and national level. According to one of his coaches, “You can comfortably sit on the chaise longue and sip a cup coffee without any traces of tingles while watching him perfectly answering the questions in the competition”. His excellence does not only end as a quizzer, he even invaded the world of journalism where he also bagged numerous awards in various student publication press conferences being CSU Communicator Cartoonist. Despite his hectic schedule as a Medtech student, he still managed to participate and be an officer of different organizations.
As part of the curriculum of his course, he had his internship at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center from November 3, 2014 to May 6, 2015.
During his graduation day, his sacrifices and hard work is being paid off as he was awarded with humungous accolades. To name a few, he received the Journalism Award, Community Service Award, Leadership Award, Quizzer of the Year, Best Student Research Presentor, Academic Excellence and the last and the best, Cum laude of the BSMT batch 2015.
He immediately took the Board Examination for Medical Technologists last September 2015 and successfully notched the ninth place in the national level. He is now a registered Medical Technologist and currently connected at his alma mater as a College Instructor where he handles professional subjects. He serves as one of the living onlookers and proof when a student amalgamates cleverness, hard work and passion in translating dream into reality.
