EXCELLENCE – The Trail that we Blaze

        One of the thrusts of the College of Allied Health Sciences is to mold the students into well-disciplined individuals; particularly, to let them function effectively both as a leader and a member of a team; motivate and lead a team to work harmoniously towards a goal with other members of the team and satiate the genuine essence of personal and intellectual emprise.

​

        In order to translate such intended outcome into reality, various student organizations were established; spear-headed by the College of Allied Health Sciences College Student Government (ColSG), and is further reinforced by minor student organizations like Medical Technology, Respiratory Therapy and Public Health Societies.

            The College of Allied Health Sciences ColSG started embossing its alto-relievo on the roster of the outstanding major organizations during the academic year 2014-2015.  It was spearheaded by the excellent and dynamic,way back then ColSG Mayor and is now a successful registered medical technologist, Reynel Pazziuagan with the unfaltering support and guidance of their ColSG adviser, Professor Hilaria Barsabal.

            The heraldic triumph started to be felt as the deeply motivated and well-empowered college student-representatives bagged awards in the various local, regional and national competitions. To name a few, Champion Nutri-Jingle Competition, Outstanding Medical Technology Society,Over-all Champion Buwan ng Wika, 2nd place in the Research Poster Presentation North Luzon held at Laoag City, 4th place in the Phismets  Regional Slogan Making Competition and 7th place in the same competition in the Phismets National.

            Being excellent does not end with propitious academic performance. Being excellent is also being measured on the little good things that you do that leave an indelible impact to people around you. Hence,   the CAHS ColSG bolstered the whole college studentry as they organized student-chartered immersions and extension activities, in cooperation with the compassionate and committed college extension coordinator Professor Rosalia Cabalza. Some of these successful activities were Tree Planting Activity; Pamaskong Handog “Alay sa Belen” and Medical Mission held at Brgy. Libag Sur, Tugueagaro City; Orphanage Visit and Outreach Program on Orphans and abused women at Regional Haven for Women and Children, Solana, Cagayan; Jail Visit and Outreach for Detainees at BJMP Tuguegarao City; Community Immersion at Brgy. Libag Sur, Tuguegarao City and many others.

        Midget college as others may have frequently called but under Mayor Pazziuagan’s regime, all Goliath-like colleges was outsmarted by David-like CAHS-ColSGas it was hailed as the most outstanding student organization not just in the campus- wide but university-wide as well.

​

        Indeed, excellence is the trail that we have been blazing in our hearts, minds and deeds as members of the CAHS family.
